Newport Equestrian Academy is owned and run by Suzanne Hourihan and Kamala Duffy, a mother and daughter team who have managed the barn since 1987. In 1986 Suzanne and Kamie moved to Rhode Island searching for their own small slice of heaven, and they found it in the heart of Aquidneck Island on Third Beach Road.

 

Founded on Suzanne and Kamie's experience, their fantastic equestrian careers, their dedication and their love for the sport and for horses, Newport Equestrian Academy has had the opportunity to help countless students acquire foundational skills, develop new techniques and confidently move forward in their learning journey and their passion for horses, through horseback riding lessons, trail rides and more.
